New Training Requirement for Doctoral Students

UCF faculty no doubt hold their graduate students to the highest standards of integrity possible. Beginning fall 2011, a new set of tools will be available to faculty and students to help them in achieving this goal. Academic integrity training seminars will be offered by the College of Graduate Studies and the Office of Research and Commercialization. Starting this fall, new doctoral student will be required to complete these training seminars, and faculty will be instrumental in spreading the message to students. Training includes:

  • Online: Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Responsible Conduct of Research training
  • Face-to-face: Four ethics/RCR workshops coordinated by the College of Graduate Studies and the Office of Research and Commercialization, or an approved alternative training program

The training and workshops are free and open to all UCF graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and associates. Visit the Academic Integrity page at the College of Graduate Studies faculty web site for more information on advising students about academic integrity, the training requirement and related workshops.
