UCF’s Online Master of Nursing Program Ranked One of the Nation’s Best

The US News & World Report’s annual ranking of online programs, released last week, placed the University of Central Florida’s College of Nursing’s online graduate programs at 24th on their annual list. UCF tied in rank with Johns Hopkins University, and was rated far ahead of the likes of Yale and Duke, who occupied the 45th and 47th spots, respectively. St. Xavier, a small Catholic university in Chicago, topped the list.

One hundred and thirty schools submitted data for the review. Scores were calculated based on faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, student engagement, and admissions selectivity. Peer reputation also factored into the total score for each university program. UCF had particularly high scores in the area of faculty credentials and training, reflecting the high quality of instructors and online training resources available through the program.

The College of Nursing at UCF offers four graduate online nursing programs: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in both Nurse Educator MSN with a certificate option, and Nursing Leadership and Management MSN, and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Executive DNP and Post-Master’s Advanced Nursing Practice DNP. All four of the programs are ideal for working professionals seeking to advance their skills and become leaders in the field of health care.
