UCF Looking to Expand in Downtown Orlando

University of Central Florida President John C. Hitt, PhD, announced Tuesday, plans to to expand into downtown Orlando to strengthen educational opportunities for our students and stimulate the economy. No decisions have been made at this time which academic programs would benefit from the extensive services available in downtown, but they would join and flourish along side our Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy and UCF Center for Emerging Media currently located downtown.

UCF would need the necessary state funding and approvals from the Board of Trustees and Florida Board of Governors before moving further.
