You're Graduating, What's Left To Do?

The semester is nearly half way over and there are only a few weeks left until you graduate; but who's counting? You are, so we created a list of important Graduation To Dos. It's closer than you know and we want you to have the full experience. Please review our list and if you have any questions, email us at graddegr@ucf.edu.

  • File your Intent to Graduate
    • You should file your Intent to Graduate the semester prior to your expected graduation term
    • Make sure you are enrolled in the term you plan to graduate
    • Review your Graduate Plan of Study to ensure you have met all graduation requirements and graduate policies
    • If you have any questions regarding your Graduate Plan of Study please schedule an appointment with your advisor

  • Check your Knights email account regularly for important commencement updates

  • Order your official UCF Regalia (Cap, Gown, and Hood)
  • Regalia and Ticket Pickup Week (Approximately 2 weeks prior to commencement)
    • Make sure that your package includes your cap, gown, and hood
      • You (PhD and Masters Graduates) will pick up regalia at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at UCF located next to the CFE Arena.
    • You will receive 5 guest tickets
      • If you are a PhD candidate you will pick up your tickets in Constituent Relations located in Millican Hall Suite – 396. If you are a Masters student you will pick up tickets at the bookstore with your regalia.

  • Commencement
    • Check the schedule of ceremonies for your graduation date and time
    • Please arrive an hour and a half prior to the commencement ceremony
      • PhD students please report to the Cypress Room. There will be signs the day of guiding master’s students to where they need to line up
    • Please Note: you are required to stay for the duration of the ceremony (About 2 hours.)

  •  Diplomas
    • Your degree will be awarded 4 – 6 weeks after the graduation ceremony
    • If you are a PhD candidate you will receive your diploma at the commencement. If you are a Masters student your diploma will be mailed 4-6 weeks after the ceremony.
    • Please Note: Your diploma will be mailed to the address provided on your Intent to Graduate form. If you have moved and need to update your diploma mailing address you will need to fill out a Change of Address form with our office: www.students.graduate.ucf.edu/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=726

Please Note: If you are only in a certificate seeking program you are not eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony.
