Cybersecurity Students Win Big

Cybersecurity student experts from UCF were recently awarded over $25,000 for competing at the CyberSEED Conference. The event is hosted by Comcast Center of Excellence for Security Innovation at the University of Connecticut. Top information security professionals and business leaders come together to discuss emerging cybersecurity trends and strategies dealing with current and future threats. UCF along with a dozen of other universities and colleges competed in their annual event solving security problems.

Congratulations to graduate students Heather Lawrence, Carrie Chenicek  and their other team members Austin Sturm and Jonathan Haas for taking the first place prize in the "social engineering" competition and winning $10,000.
