Striving for Greatness

Anna Eskamani

Anna Eskamani was honored this past fall by the UCF Alumni Association’s 30 Under 30 awards program, recognizing outstanding young alumni who strive for greatness in their professional and personal lives. By looking at her academic successes alone, you will understand why she was honored by this program.

While pursuing her bachelor’s degree at UCF, Eskamani double-majored in Political Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies. She went on to get a dual degree in master's in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management. Eskamani is currently pursuing her fifth degree from UCF - a Doctoral Degree in Public Administration.

Eskamani has impacted the University of Central Florida in many ways and continues to be a part of the UCF community. She received the Order of Pegasus award while pursuing her bachelor's degrees. The Order of Pegasus award is the most prestigious and significant award a student can attain at UCF. The Order of Pegasus recognizes exemplary performance by UCF students in the areas of academic achievement, outstanding university involvement, leadership, and community service.” Eskamani is also an active member of UCF’s academic community as she currently serves as an associate director in UCF’s Nicholson School of Communication and is an adjunct professor in the Women’s and Gender Studies program.

Despite her involvement in the academic world, Eskamani makes time to be an active member of the greater Orlando community. She currently serves as the Senior Policy Director of Planned Parenthood for the Southwest and central Florida. It is no surprise that in 2015, Eskamani was recognized by the Orlando Sentinel as one of Central Florida’s 100 most influential people in government, politics, and culture.
