Outstanding Young Alumna

Alyssa Dietz, PhD, received her master’s in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2012 and her PhD in Psychology in 2016. Dr. Dietz was honored this past fall by the UCF Alumni Association’s 30 Under 30 awards program recognizing outstanding young alumni who strive for greatness in their professional and personal lives.

Dr. Dietz has continued her passion for psychology that developed during her time at the UCF and currently works as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Penn State University – York. The University of Central Florida’s Psychology Department’s primary mission, is to provide quality education to its students. At the graduate levels, classroom instruction is liberally supplemented with practice, internships, research experiences, and other activities that teach the skills of the profession. The psychology department and programs that Dr. Dietz experienced at UCF have shaped her perspective and provided her with opportunities to further her career.

Dr. Dietz continues to grow her professional experience with stops at Washington D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Baltimore Veterans Medical Center and the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine.
