UCF Film Grad Student Presents at National Conference

Film MFAA new world of cinematography is taking shape, and UCF Film is pioneering the way.  This past August, students and faculty from the University of Central Florida’s Film program recently shared their expertise on emerging filmmaking techniques to the nation’s film community at the University Film and Video Association’s annual conference.

UCF MFA Film student Alex Bowser gave insight as into how his filmmaking team used the DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera as a tool to create a micro-budget feature film this summer. Bowser and Andrew Gay, a current UCF Film faculty member and recent graduate of Film’s MFA track, both directed feature films in the past year using DSLR technology. Bowser, Gay and UCF Film BFA undergraduate Jon Perez presented as a group at the conference.

The buzz about UCF Film doesn’t stop there. The Film MFA program’s track in Entrepreneurial Digital Cinema was recently praised in Microfilmmaker Magazine by writer Sheri Candler as “a very innovative MFA program at the University of Central Florida.”  The full article can be viewed here:
